We collect information you provide directly - account details, care recipient profiles, and conversation data. We also collect usage data (device type, session duration) to improve our service. We never sell personal information to third parties.
Conversation data is used to generate cognitive insights, mood tracking, and care summaries for authorised family members and clinicians. We use anonymised, aggregated data to improve our AI models. Individual conversations are never used for advertising.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We maintain strict access controls, audit logs, and regular security assessments hosted on compliant cloud infrastructure.
KinSync is designed to comply with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA. We do not share personal health information without explicit consent.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact support@kinsync.health for any requests.
We retain conversation data for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days. After account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

KinSync provides AI-powered companion calls and cognitive tracking for individuals with dementia and their care teams. Our service is not a substitute for professional medical care, emergency services, or in-person caregiving.
You must be 18 or older to create a KinSync account. By enrolling a care recipient, you represent that you have legal authority to make healthcare decisions on their behalf or have obtained appropriate consent.
KinSync is a wellness and communication tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease. Cognitive tracking features are informational only and should not replace clinical assessments by licensed healthcare providers.
KinSync is not an emergency service. If a conversation indicates immediate danger, our system alerts designated caregivers but does not contact 911 or emergency responders. You are responsible for ensuring appropriate emergency plans are in place.
Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
You agree not to misuse KinSync's services, including attempting to extract training data, using the service for non-care purposes, or providing access to unauthorised third parties.
KinSync is provided "as is." We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated insights. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
